REVIEWS 2004/5

Sleeping Beauty - Theatre Royal Norwich

Sunday 19th December 04 - Saturday 22nd January 05

This was, without doubt, the best Christmas Panto that I've ever been to.

Oh no it wasn't!

OH YES IT WAS!!!!!

I truly loved each and every one of the characters. I especially liked Morgan Le Fay, played by Nicole Faraday - her highly amusing 'wicked sneer' was absolutely brilliant!!

Rikki Jay, playing Muddles, was on top form as usual. Rikki really knows how to get the kids, and the mums and dads, going. Here's to you doing many more Christmas pantos at the Theatre Royal Norwich Rikki.

Dame Nanny Nicehands, played by Brian Hibbard of the original Flying Pickets, was a laugh a minute, the audience really warmed to her - I mean him (!)

Merlin, played by David Gant, came across really well, as did Prince Percival Lostalot, played by Shane Cortese, and Briar Rose, played by Vicki Carr.

There was far too many in the cast for me to mention each and every one of them by name, but believe me, each and every one of them did the production proud!

The mums and dads of the adorable little children taking part in the production must have been over the moon with their performances.

A big thumbs up from us
